The page of history for one of the most recognized and well respected brands in the world has been turned with the first ever Montecristo made 100% with pure Nicaraguan tobaccos. Following the blending success of Montecristo MONTE, the task of creating Montecristo Espada was once again put in the hands of the companies most skilled and accomplished cigar blenders—the famed Grupo de Maestros. Joining forces with the Plasencia Family, two masters of their craft unite to create one of the world’s best premium cigars. 

Part of the famous Montecristo logo, “Espada” means sword which is a fitting mark for this majestic blend. The Maestros worked tirelessly to craft a Nicaraguan puro using specially aged vintage tobaccos from the country’s top three growing regions. Montecristo Espada shines with an oily Habano Jalapa Vintage 2010 wrapper and a blend of vintage Nicaraguan filler tobaccos from Jalapa, Ometepe, and Condega.
